What is Life Coaching? Scroll down for FAQs/Common Misconceptions

Life coaching helps successful people achieve specific goals faster than they otherwise would. Your coach focuses on where you are NOW and how to bring about FUTURE results faster. Unlike counseling, Life Coaching assumes the client already has every answer they need -- you won't get a list of advice from your coach. The answers you discover for yourself will be far more powerful.

Imagine what could happen if you were asked the right questions, inspired and held accountable! Think of the results you could achieve.

Life coaching helps ambitious, smart, successful people discover their true path in life, realize their ultimate potential and live with true, authentic happiness! Imagine the happiness you can hold close to you for the rest of your life. As a coach, this is the ultimate goal I hope to help my clients achieve.

Discover Why Your Dreams Haven't Come True
Can a Life Coach really help you?

Do you have a goal? A dream? What does your ideal life look like?

It's very frustrating when you are so close to reaching your dream, but never seem to quite make it click. To have the key, but not be able to quite use it.

Why hasn't this life you've pictured transformed from a dream to reality? You know you've worked hard. But working is not enough. Something is missing. You are close, but not quite on the right path.

Often, you are doing things you don't even realize to prevent your own success, because of fears you may not be fully aware of. What is standing in your way? What things did you do today to get in the way of your own success? If you weren't afraid, what actions would you have taken today?

We all have fear of change! All of us do. It is a natural and healthy fear. However, this fear of
CHANGE can freeze us up from moving forward, preventing us from SHARING our GIFTS and talents with the world. Right at this moment, the world is deprived of what you haven't gotten around to doing yet. Of the beautiful things you will share with the world. This isn't just about you. When you help yourself, you help ALL of the people in your life you care about, and even the strangers you meet will benefit. The more you have, the more you have to give.

But why hasn't it happened yet?

Most people who are
smart, talented, driven, successful will never reach their full potential. How can that be? They're certainly capable enough! They have the potential! But the dreams never materialize because they never deal with fear. And teh fear kill the seeds of dreams, before those seeds have a chance to grow. Most successful people are NOT aware of their own fears.

So, we all have fears. These fears can hold us back, or they can motivate us forward. When you think about an old dream you haven't gone after, you will likely start to feel that fear bubbling up. Allow it! Feel it.

As you begin
working towards DREAMS, you will definitely stir up your fears -- you may have experienced this uncomfortable uncertainty and doubt. You could be feeling it right now as you contemplate what it is you really, truly want in your life. This feeling, this one temporary reaction of chemicals in your brain is the reason most individuals will NEVER be happy -- they are too afraid to admit to themselves what they truly want in life! They will not be brave enough to examine their life, what is making them happy and what is not, and take the steps necessary to creating happiness. So, certainly, they won't be able to reach a goal they haven't thought of yet. To me, this is a sad situation. So much potential lost because of a very changeable, temporary, brief fear.

That fear you feel right now will take you one of two places:

One, if you do what most people do, you will give up. This feeling of uncertainty you feel right now is
what most people can't handle and why they will never achieve what they want. And so, they accept a mediochre life. Settling for far less than they deserve.
Are you okay with never sharing your gifts with the world? Depriving others of what you have to offer? Knowing that you will always wonder "what if?" Ingorring what could have been?

Two, this anxiety can also take you to another place. It's the path less travelled. It's for the brave. The select few who are not only successful by society's standards, but BRAVE enough to try know that this uncertain feeling will pass away with the BREEZE. That new, beautiful potential will flow into your life very soon and this fear will soon be a memory as you look back from your new, successful life.
That
you WILL get the things you have dreamed of! Are you brave enough to try?

I'm sure you realize, this journey is incredibly easy. But we make it so difficult for ourselves. Children learn to walk every day, with some struggle. But as adults, we sometimes forget that we are still growing every day. We will stumble at times, but we will soon walk swiftly and directly to our own happiness.

A Life Coach can help you on this journey.

Successful, high achieving people use Life Coaches to help finally get that extra spark that propels them forward. Think of a child learning to walk. They don't do it alone! They have the motivation of a friendly ally urging them along -- no one can walk for them, but that support and encouragement is vaulable.

To get started walking towards your goals,
Email me now:
email@yourdreamslifecoach.com. Let's align you with your goals and set the intention for the life you will soon create. You are the author of your life -- it's time to write! Set yourself on the path of success. Let's identify the action items that will put you there, pointed in the right direction.

Sometimes people ask me, "I'm a successful person -- why do I need a Life Coach?" I answer, "I only work with successful peple, because those are the people who need a Life Coach!"

The more successful you are, the more you have to deal with -- difficult decisions, choices, opportunities. Many forces exist to pull you away from your true nature, your true self, and towards a shallow and empty life. Happiness does not exist when you are living the life society dictates. A Life Coach can help you select what you truly want. What you know in your gut you need in order to be happy. Wouldn't it be amazing to unlock that? Like opening a treasure chest to your own happiness!

Have you ever asked yourself what you really want?

Imagine all you've ever wanted. All those thoughts and feelings you've pushed aside for so long. What would it be like to have it right now?
To finally live it NOW? A coach can help you listen to your gut.

It all starts with a thought. A dream. A vision. A future. Can you see it? Believe in it? Envision it? If you can do that, you
can make it happen.

We take action steps every day. They create results. But how often do we see the connection? When you're aware of what results you want, you can craft your action steps carefully. Everything you do can be a step in the right direction -- right towards your happiness. All you need to create what you want is to take enough steps in the right direction. It's a happiness map that allows you to create pathways to your joy. That's it -- it's extremely easy.

But first, you must take that first step.

Have you failed in the past? It doesn't matter. Do you not know how to do it? That also doesn't matter. With the help of a life coach, you can take those steps. Walk. Run. Finally, run marathons. You already know that right now, you have two choices!

1. You can do something, an action, to
make this happen.
2. You can ignore this, close this window, and
watch your dream fade away.

If you've chosen number one, you simply email for more information. If you've chosen number two, you will think "ah, my life isn't so bad. Who am I to ask for more?"

Who are you to not ask for more. The more you have, the more you have to give. Think of what you will have to offer the people you care about after you've finished your coaching! Think of what you will have to offer your community, family, workplace, loved ones, friends and neighbors!

You can feel that amazing feeling of accomplishment. Or, you can ignore this, depriving the people in your life of what you could be if you lived up to your fullest potential. It's up to you.

Common Questions About Coaching...

Is Life Coaching therapy or counseling?

Life Coaching is NOT therapy, psychiatry, or counseling. If you are not emotionally healthy, unable to make healthy decisions for yourself, or have a mental health disorder, please contact your doctor or mental health provider, counselor, or psychologist. Life Coaching is for emotionally healthy individuals only. Coaching helps you discover for yourself how to go from successful to amazing, in order to quickly reach goals in your personal and/or professional life.

Who uses coaching?

Generally, Life Coaching attracts very successful people, looking to become even more successful in one area. The same way world-class athletes use ellite coaches, the most successful individuals seek out great Life Coaches to help accomplish goals. Clients come from all walks of life: CEOs, entrepreneurs, artists, IT professionals, teachers, real estate agents, actors, stay-at-home moms, young professionals, and anyone wanting a change.

How does a coach help?

Working with a life coach allows you to discover answers for yourself. Only you can sense what approach is going to work best for you, and what isn't! You coach is here to guide you on your path. By asking you the questions you haven't, you will discover the answers you need -- you can't know the answer to a question you haven't though to ask! Your coach also holds you accountable for completing weekly action item lists. Also, you coach will help you get in touch with your intuition and sense of "knowing" with exercises including visualization. Being in touch with your gut sense helps you make clear decisions.

Is this a "magical" solutions?

No. The hard work of changing your life is up to you. You are responsible for choosing to make decisions and carrying them out. Your coach supports you, but you are the only person who can change your life. A marathon runner's coach will not carry them to the finish line -- and life coaching clients must take their lives in their own hands. The hard work and the success are the clients.

Am I ready for coaching?

If you're excited to change you're life, are emotionally healthy, and know that it will take hard work to change, you're likely a good candidate. If you're looking for easy answers, don't have the strenth to change, or are afraid to look at your life and problems directly, you are not a good candidate for life coaching. To help find out, take this quiz.

How do I select a Life Coach?

The most important thing you need to ask yourself is whether you think a coach will be able to help you. Look for a coach with a personality you feel comfortable with. You should feel free to be yourself, open up, and not be judged. Look for someone who inspires you to be what you are capable of, someone who can see all of your potential, even if you can't. If possible, talk to a coach briefly on the telephone to see if you have a good personality match. You won't immediately "click" with every coach, and a lot of this is because of personality type. Also look at a coach's web site, read their articles, and decide if you feel you would be a good match.

Should my coach be certified?

In the United States, certification for Life Coaches is not required by the US government. This is because, unlike therapists, Life Coaches help emotionally healthy people who are able to make decisions for themselves. People who are not emotionally healthy, or who need therapy, should NOT work with a Life Coach. I have completed an accredited Life Coaching Certificate Program, however, it is my opinion that the best coaches are naturally talented -- training may help hone their skills, but I believe the ability to inspire and help people realize their potential is a natural talent. Go with the coach you feel is the best choice for you. After all, you are free to choose ANY coach that you feel would help you move forward in your life! Look for someone you feel will be a great coach who can help you succeed.

Is my coach's education important?

Yes, your coach's education is as important as it is important to you! Some clients will be comfortable with a coach who hasn't graduated high school. Others will not. This is a personal decision. The key question? Do you feel this coach can help you succeed? My education includes a BA in Communications. I studied the ways people talk, listen, write, exchange information, and express themselves -- everything from body language, lisening skills and conflict resolution. I've also studied Socionics for two years, which is a theory of personality types and personal compatibility. When choosing a coach, make sure you're comfortable with their education.
Does my coach need to be of a similar background/field of business/industry?

For most clients, the answer is "no." Life Coaches do not need to be experts in your field. Why? Unlike a consultant who is an expert in your field, a Life Coach is an expert at helping you to discover the answers you already have. Therefore, understanding your field of business will not help, because your coach isn't ordering you to do things, giving you advice, or pushing you in one direction or another -- your coach is allowing you to form the path yourself. This path will be the most successful, because you are the only one who has ALL of the information about your own life. No one else knows as much about yourself as you do! Your coach asks you the right questions (that perhaps you have not been willing to ask yourself). Your honest answers, that turly face the problem, are what move you forward.

Common Misconceptions About Life Coaching

There are several
common misconceptions about Life Coaching that many people have. The media has often painted an innacurate picture of what Life Coaching is.

1) It is therapy -- Coaching is NOT therapy. We focus on the present/future and do NOT heal the past as a therapist or psychologist would. Coaching is fast and you must be emotionally healthy so you can take immediate action.

2) Your coach "tells you what to do" -- Wrong. Your coach will never tell you how it is or what to do. The answers are within you. Your coach draws them out and provides a safe space, sounding board and the structure you need to achieve. The rest is up to you! Coaching attracts independent people who hate being told what to do.

3) My friends will do fine -- Are you friends trained coaches? Are they un-biased, impartial and never jealous of you? Do they have no stake in your life? A person in your life has a vested interest in what you do. Your coach is objective and impartial with only your best interest in mind.

4) I can "go it alone" -- How many people do celebrities have in their entourage? Who is walking next to the president? Who does the CEO sit down with in times of crisis? Who is on the other end of that phone when the entrepreneur is talking? People are vital to our success today -- and adding a supportive network of important people to your personal or professional goals can make a BIG difference.

Are you a successful person capable of doing it on your own, but who wants a faster, smarter, better way? Read on...

What if you could get achieve even more, faster? At what point does an athlete become an Olympian in training? A worker to business owner? A guitar-player to a rockstar? A social person to a socialite? An employee to CEO? Where are you now and what do you want to become

In this short time we have on earth, what do you want most for your life? From the moment we are born, we are dying. So might as well do what you want, right?

Forget society. The expectations are not real. All that is for sure in life is you are alive and you have potential. If you don't act on it, you let more than yourself down. You let the world down. You were born for a reason. Use it, everything you've got.

What would it be like to life your life and look back and say "Yes, I lived every drop of my life -- no regrets." That is what I want for everyone of my clients.

You've read this far. Something has sparked in you. If you are that small percentage of the population -- ambitious, highly intelligent, creative, achievers who take responsibility and control of their own lives, then maybe it's the right time to think about this seriously.
What is your dream? If you were dying tomorrow, what would be your most imporant wish for your life?

No, you don't need "help" anymore than an top Olympic athlete needs to fine tune their sprint, or an excellent entrepreneur needs to become exceptional -- there is no rule that we need to perform at our maximum potential, but for some of us, we are driven to excel and push it to the limit. Yes, an Olympian could train themselves, but usually don't, because t
hey recognize that they are different than the other people they ran track with in high school -- they recognize that they have achieved a level or success where their dreams have outgrown their resources. The ordinary will no longer do.

Will the ordinary do for you? Is talking to friends and family enough? Or is it time for something that will support the new life you are buildilng?

The coaching formula can propel you towards success faster than anything else.

When you are strong enough, ambitious enough, emotionally ready to take on the next step, then let's talk. When you're ready, I'm ready to hear from you! Looking forward to it :)
